What is trichology and how does it work?

Trichology is the science of the structure, function and diseases of the human hair and scalp.
Trichology can help to identify and treat the following conditions, hair loss/thinning, hair breakage/patches, itchy scalp, scalp eczema, scalp psoriasis, scaling scalp conditions, afro hair and scalp disorders.

Our hair is of psychological importance to us and is often a barometer of our health; any form of hair loss or scalp disorder may leave us feeling extremely self-conscious and embarrassed. Trichologists help to diagnose, offer advice or treat hair and scalp problems. There are many reasons for scalp and hair diseases/disorders – stress; yo-yo dieting, poor circulation, mineral deficiency or genetics are just a few.  The sooner the problem is diagnosed and addressed, the better the result.
