Osteopathy

What we do

Osteopathy uses a variety of techniques to diagnose, treat and prevent joint, muscle and ligament (musculoskeletal) conditions and the effects of these on your general health. At our specialist osteopathic clinic in Northampton, we believe that by correcting strengthening and improving the musculoskeletal system you can help your body to heal itself and prevent future illness.

We review and treat every patient on an individual basis in order to help you to correct the problem areas quickly and effectively.  We help restore you to optimal heath and help to prevent further mobility problems and strengthen you with advice and exercises.

What we treat

As professional osteopaths we believe that pain is a sign of imbalance within the body. Whether as a result of an injury, car crash or simply poor posture, the body will self-correct and heal itself if it is given the correct treatment. Our osteopaths are able to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions .ranging from head/neck aches right through the body to foot/ankle problems. We don’t just treat lower back pain!  We can also treat during pregnancy and using cranial osteopathic techniques we can treat post pregnancy, for mother and baby.

The benefits

Similar to chiropractic treatments, Osteopathy addresses posture and musculoskeletal balance as the primary cause of many ailments and health problems, and these benefits can be felt in every aspect of your wellbeing. From release of general aches and pains right through to feeling refreshed and more energetic. Osteopaths can help you achieve your health potential.

Our osteopaths use massage, cranial techniques (sometimes referred to as ‘cranial osteopathy’), soft-tissue work, joint articulations and adjustments, to help to restore your body to its optimal internal environment. This means the permanent elimination of pain, coupled with increased mobility, flexibility and muscular balance.

As we deal with people and their injuries on an individual basis, no course of osteopathy is ever the same. As a result, the number of sessions needed varies depending upon the nature of your injury and the course of treatment or therapy that is followed. We aim to relieve your discomfort as quickly as possible, helping you return to normal life and helping keep costs down.

Once we have had an opportunity to assess and review your case and before beginning any treatment, we will always advise you of the type of costs that you can expect. Only when you are 100% happy will we start to treat your injury and then manage your successful recovery and rehabilitation.
